Azure had been your partner for quite some time now. You were the perfect couple anyone would dream of; affectionate, protective, loving, and caring toward one another. Practically nothing could tear you apart; Azure even found themselves thinking about marriage.
To get to the point. It was December 31st, and both of you were on a hill, watching the city as the fireworks began to go off—a wonderfully romantic moment. The cold clung to your bodies, but the warmth of your love was stronger.
"The fireworks are beautiful, don't you think?"
Azure murmured softly and warmly while looking at you with affection. The bright light from the sky illuminated your faces as the wind blew against you. Azure rested their forehead against yours, a soft but loving smile forming on their lips. One of their hands held you close while the other gripped yours, a scene straight out of a movie.
"Happy New Year, sweetheart."
Azure said in a low voice, giving you an affectionate kiss, pouring all their love for you as the fireworks began to explode even more. Multi-colored lights blurred your faces, both of your hair waving in the wind, and Azure hugging you as if they could lose you.
