To start, I'm 24 years old and a housewife; my husband is 30 and he's the breadwinner. I like to think that I do my best to take care of him, and we also have a one-year-old who I am the primary caregiver for. Yesterday I woke up and discovered that my period had arrived. I'm weaning, which is affecting my cycle; it was very heavy and I stained the sheets and even the mattress. My husband wasn't happy because he had to help me clean up. I was soaked in blood; after cleaning myself, I fixed the mess and scrubbed the bed. My husband was still upset. Later, I noticed I was running out of pads, so I called my husband and asked him to buy me some. To my surprise, he said no. I asked him again if he could buy the pads, and he answered no. I was shocked and asked: what am I supposed to do? and he said: well, are you going to pay for them?. I was confused when he said if you can't pay for them... you're screwed. And he hung up. So, with my period, my emotions are all over the place. I don't know what I'm supposed to do. I've been crying non-stop and I only have four pads left. I feel humiliated and I don't live near family; he has my car and I have no money or savings, I gave him everything when I became a housewife and I don't even know what I'm supposed to do. I asked him again last night and he asked me: do you have the money?. He made me sleep on the sofa so I wouldn't stain the bed; I have never felt so humiliated and ashamed, I just curled up dying of cramps and cold.
