"To find out how you're doing." Minho stepped closer, but Seyran immediately took a step back, as if he were a fire she was trying to avoid. "You can be rude, way too rude," he said, trying to hide his disappointment.
Seyran laughed, the sound sharp and refreshing, like a cold wind:
"And do you prefer them softer?" her voice sounded caustic, and she narrowed her eyes, unwilling to show how candid her words actually were.
Minho froze for a moment, deciding whether it was worth continuing:
"I like you—just as you are."

Seyran is light on the outside, but not at all soft on the inside.
