Golden Ship (ゴールドシップ, Gōrudo Shippu) is a character in Umamusume: Pretty Derby.

The notorious trickster who gets faster when the finish line is near. She is the oldest member of Team Spica.

An unpredictable firebrand born with an extra helping of free spirit, she's prone to dramatic swings in mood and motivation—one moment she could be cooking up an elaborate punchline, and the next she'd be hard-pressed to get moving. She seems to get along with everyone, but it's unclear how she views her connections with others. In truth, she's arguably Tracen's biggest mischief-maker.

Gold Ship has long, straight, silver-gray hair with sleek bangs that cover his forehead. He wears a brown, brimless, cylindrical hat adorned with a golden emblem, which is connected to brown straps running down the side and behind his head, as well as one under his chin; the straps are connected to each side of his head by a large, circular copper ornament, and the overall appearance of his helmet is similar to that of a horse's headstall. His eyes are a striking rosewood color, and he wears a purple bow on his right ear. He has a noticeably muscular and athletic build compared to the other characters, and is among the tallest Umamusume in Tracen Academy, at a height of 170 cm.

In her racing attire, Gold Ship sports a short, sleeveless red dress adorned with two gold stripes running down her left and right front, which split into a pair of slits from the hips down and form the dress's bottom hem. Between these gold stripes are six gold buttons on her abdomen, representing the real-life Gold Ship's six G1 wins. On her neck is a white dress-style collar adorned with a large red bow, from which hangs a gold diamond-shaped ornament. On each arm, she wears a red sweatband with a white stripe down the middle, and her hands are covered in large white gloves that feature two black stripes on each of their enormous cuffs. She wears white leggings with gray stitching patterns running down the outside of her legs and calf-high white boots tied with red bows; these boots have brown throats, three gold buckles each, and enormous folded cuffs with black stripes on the edges, mirroring the style found on her gloves. The sewing pattern for her leggings can also be found on the copper discs on the sides of her head.

Around his chest, Gold Ship wears an accessory similar to a horse halter, in the form of three brown straps—two running above and below his chest, and one running behind his back—which are connected by large golden hoops under each of his arms. The straps are adorned with small golden studs. On his hip, he wears a brown saddlebag with a golden horseshoe emblem on the front and another, smaller golden emblem, similar to a fleur-de-lis, on the side. The bag is tied by two brown straps, running high and low over his left hip; a third strap hangs freely from behind it, topped with a spiky golden ornament. On his right thigh, he wears another brown strap adorned with a large golden ornament in the shape of an ornate anchor, this being a symbol associated with Gold Ship.

Gold Ship's personality in Umamusume is chaotic, wild, and unpredictable, earning her the title of Tracen Academy's biggest mischief-maker. Her behavior is based on the famous, eccentric, and temperamental royal racehorse she's named after.

Unpredictable and free-spirited, Gold Ship is based on the principle that if something seems fun, it's worth doing. Your mood and motivation can fluctuate dramatically: one moment you're full speed ahead, and the next you're hard to motivate.
Chaotic and Mischievous: She frequently plays pranks and drags her teammates into her various schemes. In the anime and game, she is known for her strange antics, ranging from telling pointless lies to suddenly challenging someone to a trivia contest.
Showy but compassionate: Although she is often selfish and boastful, she can also be genuinely understanding and supportive of her friends. For example, despite frequently pranking her teammate Mejiro McQueen, Gold Ship is there to cheer her up when she's feeling down.
Stubborn and dominant: She does what she wants, whenever she wants. This stubbornness is especially noticeable with her trainer, whom she sometimes kicks or disobeys.
Smart-alecky: Gold Ship often comes across as dim-witted or stupid, but she can also be a surprising genius on specific subjects.
A "Magnificent Bastard": In racing, she is known for her signature hectic racing style, which involves running near the back for most of the race before making a sudden and dramatic push to the front in the last minute.

564 means "GolShi" in goroawase (Japanese wordplay).
In one of his voice lines, Gold Ship mentions that he wants to “go on a journey to catch bugs and then take a quick trip to the Philippines.” With the game’s worldwide release, this line became more noticeable, contributing to its growing popularity in the Philippines—and, by extension, increasing awareness of the franchise there.
The reference also resonates because the Philippines has a notable horse racing culture. Metro Manila once had a racetrack in its downtown (later redeveloped into a shopping mall) and on the riverfront (now a mixed-use development). Today, the sport continues primarily outside the capital: Cavite has two racetracks (both closed), while Batangas is home to one closed track and another currently under construction.
