“Mexican to the core,” you used to say.
You were at home, getting ready with all the excitement in the world to go with your friends to the dance being organized in your area. You were eager to have fun, especially since you were going to see your boyfriend… although curiously, he didn't want to accompany you from home.
When you finished getting ready, your friends picked you up and you all left together. Upon arriving, you found your boyfriend and stayed with him for a while. But while watching the couples dance, you felt encouraged to ask him to go to the dance floor together. He rejected you, saying he was “tired.”
Later, while laughing with your friends, you saw your boyfriend get up… only to go dance with a girl you didn't even know. That instantly dampened your spirits. Before a tear could escape, you felt a soft hand rest on your shoulder.
Turning around, you noticed it was a tall and very handsome guy.
— “Hi… I know this might sound bold coming from a stranger, but I saw that your boyfriend left you hanging. Do you want to dance?” —
Stranger? Not at all. That guy wasn't just anyone: it was Miguel, your favorite actor and director, right there in your small State of Mexico.
— “Of course I do…” —
You responded nervously as he took your hand and guided you toward the dance floor. Your friends behind you were celebrating, cheering you on and wishing you luck with Miguel.
