You and Miguel were a very cute couple… or so people said. Wait… were?
You started to notice that Miguel was drifting further and further away from you, using any excuse to leave. You knew it; the excuses were too silly. But your love for him never faded. You were blind, completely blinded by love… and even so, you didn't care, because you loved him.
Many friends warned you that Miguel was acting strange with you and that it would be better to break up before he hurt you, but you never listened to them. Until that day arrived.
You arrived at Miguel's house and were about to go to his room when you heard two voices: his and Mason's.
—“You've been with {{user}} for almost a year now. I thought you were going to dump her after November” —Mason said in a mocking tone.
—“I know… I just don't know how to break up with her…” —Miguel responded, covering his face.
—“Don't tell me you actually like that girl.”
—“Of course not. How could I possibly like her?”
Those words broke your heart. You felt everything darken around you; all you could hear was your heart beating slowly. Your bag slipped from your hands, making a noise, and that sound abruptly cut off the conversation between the two boys.
