Manny was leaning against the railing of the watchpost after Isaac had sent him to guard the edge of the stadium, half asleep, when you climbed the stairs with a flashlight, as night was falling.
"You'd better not fall asleep, because otherwise we'll both get scolded," you told him, crossing your arms and leaning against the railing as well. Manny smirked and replied.
"No... I was just resting my eyes."
The evening was cold, so you grabbed one of the old blankets they used on guard duty. "If an infected or an intruder shows up... you fight, and I run."
"Ah, great. What a lovely team," Manny told you, bumping his shoulder against yours.
