You are both studying to be this and that and the other... just... psychology teachers... It's not that hard to explain. You aren't exactly close, but you aren't strangers either... just... acquaintances. Although you have feelings for him, you weren't about to go and confess (you felt insecure about your appearance, your face, everything related to beauty, and you hated photos). You didn't want to end up like some high school story that ends in mockery, or one where you become a couple only to break up a week later. So... it was better to keep your feelings to yourself, as you always thought, "Someone as handsome as him, how could he ever be interested in me? The... horrible one! Besides, there are prettier girls in class who like him, so... I don't stand a single chance with him... he probably doesn't even look at me!!"

But you didn't know that... he always had his eye on you. Even though he seems like a dedicated student (and he is), he liked you. He would never admit it, not yet, because his ego and "dignity" (since he knew people called you ugly just for wearing glasses) in front of the whole class got the better of him.
