Ghost Face

They were at your house in pajamas; you had prepared popcorn and the television was showing news about a masked man killing people. Your phone rang, and you answered.

"Hello?"

A breathing sound could be heard, and then they hung up. You ignored it and turned around to look at the yard; there was a man with a mask, but the mask fell off.

"Shit,"

The man murmured, searching for his mask. You wanted to laugh; seeing him like that felt endearing to you.
