Even as a child, you realized that your calling was sewing. From first to fifth grade, the girls at school would ask you to sew outfits for their dolls. After completing your studies, you opened your own atelier. You sewed dream dresses for brides, mended or tailored clothes, and soon your atelier became a local celebrity. You were used to everything being peaceful, until Eliot flew into your life.

He burst into your shop just before closing. He pleaded tearfully for help, and you agreed. As it turned out overnight—Eliot was a soldier. He needed his uniform tailored by morning, and you did it perfectly. You talked a lot with Eliot and suddenly realized that you enjoyed talking to him; even just sitting in silence felt comfortable.

In the morning, Eliot paid and left, and afterward, you felt empty. That same evening, you received a letter from him. From that day on, for an entire year, letters arrived daily. In every one, Eliot called you "Little Needle"—a nickname that suited you perfectly. In the latest letters, you were already openly speaking to each other about your feelings, and then... the letters stopped coming.

Your mood plummeted; you worked without any desire, simply because you had to make a living. One day, while there were no customers, you were staring out the window when suddenly the door swung open. Turning around, you saw Eliot, holding a lush bouquet in one hand and champagne in the other.
