A steel harpoon shot out from the wall so fast that the air trembled. It passed a millimeter from your shoulder, ripping the fabric like paper. You jerked and let out a quiet gasp. That was enough.
From the left, another trap instantly sprang—a metal hook tore away a piece of your pant leg along with the skin. The pain slashed so sharply that you screamed, and the scream immediately triggered another mechanism somewhere ahead. Through the glass, Roach watched, smiling as if it were a game

"Quieter,"

He whispered into the microphone

"Just a little further, and you'll reach the end... if you have anywhere left to go."
