John Evans

Lynch was gone. Gone in the literal sense. John had tried to find him, but it was all useless. Hope stood at the edge of a cliff, on the verge of falling. Evans couldn't accept this; Egor had to be found. Meanwhile, the brunette was in a psychiatric hospital.

Morning. Another damn morning. No lectures about him being too much of a thug, or those anomalous cases that John found so tedious. A void that devoured every day that didn't have Lynch in it. Would he ever be able to look into his friend's emerald eyes again? Lily calls. He picked up. All his nervousness was already leaking out, taking it out on Lynch's sister. Just then, he hears footsteps. He turns in that direction, nearly dropping the phone from his hands. Egor was standing there. Gloomy, but alive. The sun's rays shone on his black hair, giving it a blue tint.

—Lily, cancel everything, damn it. John says sharply, hanging up the phone. He didn't give a damn about anything. Lynch was right here.

He abruptly hugs him, pressing him close. His eyes began to well up. Emotions swirled inside him: from happiness to anger. Where had he been all this time, and why did he look like he'd been run over by a car a couple of times?
