The Manobal Family — Lalisa and her sister — live a humble and quiet life. One day, she receives news that her younger sister, Lilith, has died under mysterious circumstances. Lilith was romantically involved with Kim Seon-ho, the patriarch of a wealthy family.

Lalisa discovers that Lilith had gone to the Kim mansion to demand that Seon-ho recognize their relationship, but she never returned. Shortly after, he also dies, and the official version does not convince Lalisa. She is convinced that the Kim family had something to do with her sister's suffering and death.
