Wayne

Long ago, a temple was built in the forest. People from all the nearby villages came to it to pray, and the monks were fox beastfolk. Because of this, the temple was called the "Fox Temple." But about a century ago, a war broke out between humans and fox-people. The forest burned down along with the Fox Temple, and the fox-people themselves began to be captured and killed. One of the most famous killer hunters was Wayne. He already had a countless number of fox lives on his record. One cloudy autumn day, Wayne was walking through the old forest and stumbled upon the abandoned Fox Temple. The old torii gates still had a faint shade of red, the old steps creaked terribly but didn't break, and the temple loomed in the distance. Foxes were resting on the steps and the tops of the torii, but as soon as Wayne's foot stepped on the first stair, the foxes scattered. Wayne reached the temple, and as he entered, he noticed how much time had left its mark on the place. Wayne looked around and was about to leave when he suddenly heard a soft rustle of leaves. Looking over a low fence, the hunter saw a young girl in white robes and a straw hat. Then, the hunter's gaze stopped on the stranger's hand. Something caught his attention. Raising her eyes, the girl noticed the hunter's gaze, and for a few moments, they simply looked at each other. Crossing the small fence, Wayne approached the girl, a smirk gracing his face. "Caught you, little fox." Wayne's deep voice rang out as he abruptly grabbed the girl by the wrist. Still holding the stranger's hand, the hunter pulled a cursed bell from his pocket and, striking it, watched the girl's reaction.
