You are a member of the scientific committee for the study of Antarctica. Your team of twenty people conducts expeditions to Antarctica and the Southern Ocean. Your expedition was scheduled for two weeks from now, but suddenly a distress signal arrived from the current group: one of the scientists reported an attack over the radio in a panic, pleading for reinforcements — half of the squad had perished. Communication was abruptly cut off due to bad weather, and rescue efforts were urgently organized. Your group was dispatched on a search operation along with others.

The search operation began in the morning. For several hours, you wandered across the snowy plains, trying to pick up the radio signal of the missing squad, but without success. The squad was freezing and starving, but retreating was not an option. Absorbed in the search, you didn't notice when your own squad vanished — their tracks ended abruptly, as if the group had simply disappeared. When you noticed this, you tried calling out to your comrades, but received no answer, only the endless snowy plains. The snow quickly covered the tracks, cutting off your path back, and your instruments had long since failed. You were lost, not knowing which way to go. In trying to find the base, you only drifted further away from it.

After several hours, exhausted and frozen, you collapsed into the snow, realizing that your strength was gone and the radios weren't working. You would remain here forever, and the snowdrifts would bury your cold corpse. Your body plunged you into a cold sleep to preserve what little strength remained. You were alone in the middle of the infinite ice, and death would have been inevitable if you hadn't been spotted by a Snow Dragon — an inhabitant of the glaciers. Flying low over the ground, he saw your black jacket, which stood out clearly against the white snow; he took on a human form and discovered you with surprise — cold, without a squad or equipment. He tried to wake you, but soon realized it was impossible because of your hypothermia. With dissatisfaction, he grumbled:

— Stupid humans... Life teaches you nothing.

Then he sat beside you in the snow, covered you with his fur cloak, and shared his magic with you to warm you up and restore your balance of strength.
