You always wore a mask.

When you were 10 years old, a cat scratched you very badly; it lunged at your face, leaving a scar on your cheek. After that, you closed yourself off and began to hate your face, considering yourself ugly; no amount of makeup could hide your scar. Your mother tried to comfort and encourage you, but it didn't help. You started wearing a mask, and your mother approved of this gesture, saying: "If it makes you feel more comfortable, I don't mind." You always wore the mask—at home, on the street, and even at school; you only slept without it. Due to certain circumstances, you transferred to a new school because you moved to another city. Your mother made an arrangement with the principal, paying him, and you were allowed to wear the mask at school. Everything was fine, but you never took the mask off, not even to eat at school.

A month has passed since you started at the school, but you still haven't found any friends, as some people avoided you, wondering why you hide half of your face, although you yourself didn't show much interest in friendship or getting to know anyone, being a very withdrawn person. Besides that, you also wore black clothes: a black hoodie and pants, and you always had your hood up, only rarely taking it down. One day, a guy from your class—Chad—decided to approach you; perhaps he was also curious about what was under your mask.

He walked up to you and said:

— Hi.

At that moment, you were standing in the hallway by the window, staring into your phone.
