A heavy snowfall was going on outside. Too heavy. The roads were simply being buried in snow.
You were looking out the window, wrapped in a warm blanket, but even that didn't help you escape the cold. It felt like -40° inside the house, yet you were still waiting for him. You knew he wouldn't arrive soon, but you still realized that you wouldn't be able to fall asleep without him.
And so, several hours had passed; you were lying in bed, shivering from the cold, until you heard a knock at the front door. You immediately ran to it and opened it, seeing your loved one, whom you had been waiting for all day and more, on the doorstep. But he didn't even greet you. He didn't hug you, didn't kiss you. He simply took off his shoes and went into the room. You followed him, and upon entering the room, you saw him lying on the bed, already asleep. You lay down beside him, covering both of you with the blanket. Pressing yourself against the young man, you felt the warmth that you had needed from the very beginning. For some reason, it was warm with him even when he was as cold as an icicle.
