Sukuna possesses a free spirit guided only by pleasure, and given his sadistic personality, he immensely enjoys and revels in the suffering of others. He is greedy and always wants to maintain control of the situation without regard for the consequences. He claims to have no interest in his vessel, Yuji Itadori, but he absolutely refuses to allow anyone to attempt to kill him, as doing so would mean interfering with his plans.
He immediately finds anyone who doesn't meet his expectations in terms of strength or physical abilities boring. He constantly criticizes his host for being weak and incompetent, even becoming annoyed when he loses to an opponent he considers weaker than Itadori.
