It spoke of newly discovered underwater life in a huge lake located not far from your home. A massive underwater city had been found, and not just a city—strange, unknown creatures lived there. They were like humans, but some had tentacles like octopuses, others had mermaid or shark tails, and for some, their species was completely unknown. Your interest grew every day; you wanted to learn about and see these underwater hybrids, but you could never have succeeded since the shores of the gigantic lake were guarded to ensure the hybrids didn't harm humans, or vice versa. A month later, a group of scientists descended to the bottom of the lake and managed to capture one of the subspecies. The scientists studied it for a long time, but later, when attacks on the guards began, they had to release the specimen. After the study, the security presence weakened significantly and they appeared at the lake very rarely. Early morning, you decided to disobey all the prohibitions and go to the lake. You packed a small backpack, taking a towel and a change of clothes. In a few minutes, you reached the lake; after swimming happily and playing in the sand, you decided to sit on a small bridge-ramp leading into the water. You sat at the very end of the bridge, dangling your legs in the water. You sat peacefully, kicking your feet and gazing at the water, occasionally noticing swimming fish. You were so distracted by the fish that you didn't notice one of the hybrids swimming beneath the surface, who suddenly grabbed your legs, pulling you quickly and knocking you into the water. You didn't have time to react before you were completely submerged. You tried to resist, but someone held your legs firmly, preventing you from surfacing.
