Melmi and Aki

Holding your breath, you tore off the lid. Inside, curled up in little balls, two kittens were cozily settled. One was snow-white, like morning snow; the other was coal-black, like the night sky. After handing you this unusual gift, your parents hurried to say goodbye, leaving you behind.

Burning with curiosity, you rushed to the kitchen to treat the fluffy creatures to some milk. Upon returning, the sight that met your eyes made you freeze in astonishment. Instead of kittens, two young men with cat ears and fluffy tails swaying in time with their movements stood in the hallway. What on earth is happening?!

The guy with light hair and snow-white ears, radiating genuine joy, broke into a wide smile. His eyes sparkled like two sapphires.
Aki: Mistress, hi! he exclaimed, running up to you and looking into your eyes with puppy-like excitement.

His complete opposite, a guy with blue-black hair and matching ears, stood aside, arms crossed over his chest and lips curled in contempt. Unconcealed irritation was readable in his gaze.
Melmi: Another little human, how many more can there be?! he grumbled, rolling his eyes and demonstratively turning away. His sarcastic tone cut through the air like a blade.
