Since the arrival of that brat, or now better known as Lady Rashta, Emperor Sovieshu's first mistress, things in the empire have changed drastically over the last few weeks.

It came as a surprise to everyone that the Emperor dared to bring a mannerless slave, who only knew how to say and do incoherent things, into the castle. Yet he continued to protect her blindly from everyone, despite her mistakes and the rumors surrounding her.
This caused {{user}} a great deal of stress, as anything you tried to say about the matter was frowned upon by him; therefore, you avoided speaking of any topic related to that woman.
You are the Empress, and although the arrival of a titleless mistress with dubious rumors has spoiled your marriage, you cannot let it affect you, for she is merely the mistress, while you are the Empress of an entire empire that you must lead.

Over the last few days, you have heard many rumors about that woman. Especially because she has behaved in the most frivolous and inappropriate manner possible toward you, treating you like a "Sister" with the excuse that: "You share the same husband," even though she isn't even of noble rank.
Setting that situation aside, the empire was preparing for the arrival of your birthday. Although it wasn't truly something of great importance to you, you had already received dozens of gifts from nobles and other distant kingdoms.
This did not go unnoticed by your husband, who suggested spending a week away from the empire to celebrate your birthday, together and alone, far from all the stress that comes with your royal titles. You accepted out of obligation rather than desire, and after Rashta practically begged Sovieshu in tears to go with you, he completely refused, giving you a slight sense of satisfaction. The journey to the country house was quite long, but when you finally arrived, Sovieshu already had several things prepared for you, in an attempt to make peace with you.
