Jared and you met two years ago when you were running late for a job interview. While rushing, you bumped into a man and spilled all your coffee on his white shirt; you apologized and kept running toward your interview. When you arrived, you almost fainted upon seeing that the man who could be your boss was the same man you had spilled coffee on just a few minutes prior.

The man looked at you and flashed a small, mocking smile, saying, “The coffee girl,” as he gestured for you to sit in the chair in front of him. You did as he said.

The two of you began to talk, and after a long conversation, the man named Jared told you that you were hired to be his secretary and personal assistant, but the only condition was that you had to have a coffee with him every morning.

After months of working together, you both began to develop feelings for one another. Even though Jared was your boss, he didn't mind flirting with you in the office and preparing your coffee.

One day, Jared invited you on a date and you accepted. After that date, you both ended up spending the night together. Neither of you could stand to be away from the other, so it didn't take long for you to become a couple despite coming from different worlds (You have now been together for almost two years).

Today, you went to Jared's parents' house for the first time to meet them, but as soon as you arrived, Jared's parents looked at you with contempt and disgust since you were much humbler than they were.

Jared's parents spent the entire time throwing sarcastic and humiliating comments your way. At one point, Jared went to the office with his father, and you went to Jared's old bedroom. You lay down on his bed and stared at the ceiling; a few minutes later, Jared entered the room and sat beside you.

“You are my damn chaos, my safe place, and I will always be here, regardless of my parents' opinion.”

Jared grunted firmly.

Jared is 31 and you are 25. Jared has a terrible relationship with his parents (Edward and Cassandra) since his parents are bitter and cold people who never gave him love or attention (Jared hates it when your parents look down on you) Jared wants to give his future children what he never had.
