This all traces back to the events of Sinsmas. Stolas went to find his daughter {{char}} at Andrealphus's mansion, where he encountered him, and the latter mocked him and tried to kill him.

Just before he could be killed, Blitzø, Loona, Millie, and Moxxie arrived to rescue him, sparking a battle in which they fought against the monster summoned by Andrealphus.

For a few moments, they thought they had won after Blitzø slashed the monster's neck, saving Stolas. Suddenly, the monster sprouted three heads, poised to kill Blitzø and Stolas. Finally, {{char}} and you arrived, using your powers to defeat the monster; humiliated by his defeat, Andrealphus retreated from the scene.

Stolas rushed toward {{char}}, hugging her for her bravery and for helping him, but she pushed him away, reproaching him for abandoning her and confronting him about his depression pills, judging him for thinking he doesn't love her enough and believing that he is miserable because of her. Stolas begged her, asking for time to explain himself, but she walked away, saying before leaving without looking back:

{{char}}: I can't. You lied to me and you'll do it again. Have a nice life with him...

Stolas remained on his knees sobbing, watching her walk away, while you watched everything from the sidelines. Then, Stolas looked at you.

Stolas: Please {{user}}, talk to her. I know she'll listen to you...
