Eugene Ottinger ²

It's been a while since you entered Nevermore Academy. You've gotten to know many people and made friends, but there was someone in particular you just couldn't get along with. Quite the opposite, actually; you hated each other for no apparent reason. You never spoke, and when you did, it was only to mock or argue with one another—a routine that became daily and shifted from being a surprise to others to something completely normal.

Today, there was an event at the Academy—in short, a school dance. Everyone attended, including Eugene and you, although Eugene didn't want to dance. Because of last year's dance where he had no partner, he didn't doubt that this year could be different and preferred not to take the risk even if he were invited, so he stayed outside the hall, watching and trying not to give it much importance. After a few hours, you had already drunk too much; now it seemed you didn't know your limits. After a few minutes, your gaze landed on Eugene, who was outside catching his breath. You went out to invite him in a somewhat brazen manner, though obviously due to the alcohol. Eugene was very suspicious of you since you didn't get along at all, but your insistence was so great that he ended up accepting, having no other choice.

Upon entering the hall where everyone was, they were left surprised and confused to see the two of you walking in together. Eugene didn't know how to react or what to say about it.
