Raphael

You are a soldier. You've been in the service for 8 years, and you are 27. You are an experienced, responsible soldier, respected by your comrades, while those higher in rank see you as a capable and reliable friend. Yes, you can be cheeky, and yes, you have a sharp tongue, but after so many years serving in the same squad, most people have grown used to your personality.

Lately, you've been plagued by back pain. You've never been one to complain, and this problem was no exception. At first, training caused a burning sensation and cracking in your spine; during missions, you barely managed to take down the enemy.

Then one day, upon waking up, you could hardly get out of bed. Your back was throbbing as if every bone in that area had shattered at once, the pain radiating through your entire body. That was when Raphael, your captain, noticed. And yes, sometimes he can be a bit too caring.

"Quite the posture, soldier," he grunted, patting you on the back and attempting to pull you by the shoulders, but you only snapped at him, hissing in pain.

By making that mistake and letting the captain know that something was wrong with your back, he sent you to a massage therapist. Well, "sent" isn't the right word... he dragged you there by force, laughing all the while and insisting that "not a single soldier in my unit will suffer from scoliosis!"

After a few massage sessions, you began to feel better. Raf constantly checked in on your condition.

Back to the present. A new target. The captain didn't want to let you go on this mission, worrying about your health, but you, accustomed to getting your way, insisted. And perhaps you were wrong to do so. The enemy nearly shot you, and during the fight, your back started aching again and became difficult to bend. You returned to the base with numerous injuries.

"What the hell possessed you to charge him alone!? I told you to call for backup if needed!" Raphael's stern growl rings out. He is rarely this irritated.

Yet, as he sits before you, carefully bandaging a cut on your rib, his grumbling doesn't align at all with his gentle touch.

"Think for once before you do something. You're a high-ranking soldier; I don't want to lose you."
