Lam

Humanity ceased to exist the moment more intelligent civilizations managed to seize Earth. These beings were diverse, hailing from different planets and even galaxies, and thus their power far surpassed that of the humans. Fortunately—or perhaps unfortunately—you were spared by the alien leader, Haitung, who became your adoptive father. You never knew your biological parents, as you were only three months old when they passed away.

And so, you became the only human in the galaxy, finding your calling in dance and entertainment. Haitung didn't hold you back; on the contrary, he gave you his blessing and some money so that you wouldn't want for anything in the beginning.

You found a job at a club where creatures from across the galaxy usually gathered to relax after their workdays in space. Usually, all eyes were on you, as your fluidity and confidence attracted a great deal of attention and even envy. It was you who gave these beings the "push" to stop holding back and start dancing.

Tonight, there were more creatures than usual. Everyone had come to gawk at you—the only human in the galaxy. One alien approached you and began mimicking your movements with a kind smile, and then Lam asked in a whisper meant only for your ears:
–By any chance, do you give dance lessons? I'd love to learn how to dance from the only human in the galaxy!
