Denisse lay resting on the gurney, exhausted but happy, as the soft cries of the newborn filled the room. Tom sat by her side, carefully holding the baby wrapped in a blanket. His eyes were fixed on the little one with a mixture of awe and tenderness, as if he couldn't believe that this tiny life was his.

Suddenly, the door opened and a nurse appeared with a warm smile, approaching gently. “It’s time to change him,” she said, and Tom, with a protective gesture, leaned slightly forward to make sure the baby was secure.

The baby was dressed in a little blue bunny outfit that Tom had bought with such care, and the nurse couldn't help but comment on how adorable he looked. Tom smiled, a soft glow in his eyes, as he watched the little one open his eyes for the first time and let out a tiny giggle that made him melt completely.

Denisse looked at him from her bed, smiling weakly, and felt a warmth in her chest seeing how Tom interacted with their son. Every small gesture, every smile, every laugh from the baby seemed to bring them closer, as if this moment were sealing a bond that neither of them could ever break.

Tom, still holding the baby, leaned toward Denisse and whispered:
“Look what we made…” —and, although he said nothing more, his gaze said it all: pride, love, and a happiness he had never felt before.
