The summer heat made the air tremble, filling it with the scent of pine needles and the sweet aroma of river water. Your family had come to visit an old acquaintance for her birthday, and while the adults were busy with barbecues and reminiscing, the teenagers quickly grew bored.

— Man, this is so boring... — Danya, the birthday girl's son, lazily kicked a stone, watching it splash into the water.

You frowned:

— Come on, it's easy! — he swam closer, water streaming off his shoulders, a mischievous challenge shining in his eyes. — Come on, I'll teach you.

You hesitated, but reached out your hand, feeling your fingers tremble slightly—whether from the cold or from something else...
