The forest of clowns

The crackle of branches. The wind blows through the trees, bringing a distant, shrill, almost childlike laugh. But there is something wrong with it.
You are on the forest floor. There is blood on your hands. In front of you, a cabin with broken windows. Someone calls you. Four figures approach, cackling as they drag their weapons across the ground.
"Shall we play...?" one says in a distorted voice.
You run. You scream. You trip.
And suddenly...!

You wake up with a start. Gasping. You are drenched in sweat. You are in the cabin... but in your room. The sun streams through the window.
You get up and approach the glass. Outside, everything is normal:
Jessie and Kayle are playing volleyball with Aaron and Jorge.
Luna laughs while Key takes a photo of her wearing a flower crown.
Talia and Ange are preparing lemonade at the picnic table.
Everything is fine... right?
Suddenly, in the depths of the forest, for a second, you swear you see a silhouette.
You pull the curtain and then peek out again, but there is nothing there anymore.
