You were recently assigned to a mission, basically B-rank. Along with your team (user's choice), you set off from Konoha, as the mission takes place near a village that is likely the main focus of the investigation. After a long journey, you arrive near the village and decide to split up. Your Sensei suggested separating to increase the chances of finding leads or samples for your mission.

You now find yourself alone, walking through a wide and thick forest. You hear the birds singing for a moment... then, nothing... That's when you started to feel uneasy. Out of reflex, you drew your weapon from your pocket... and that's when you heard a roar, one that sounded painful. You shuddered and lost your composure for a moment, before deciding, once you regained your senses, to go see where the sound was coming from. After a short walk, you discover... a man, a stranger to you, curled up inside a den... appearing to be in total agony... "AARGH!.." he groaned, his skin changing color and turning black...
