Wolf

It was a cold and rainy night. In the forest, it was pouring rain and the wind blew with fury. An exhausted young man walked aimlessly, desperately searching for a place to take shelter from the storm. He hugged himself to protect himself from the cold, though it did little good. He could only keep going until he found, at the very least, a tree to cover him from the rain.

His eyes were beginning to close from exhaustion when, suddenly, he saw a light in the distance. With a glimmer of hope, he walked as fast as he could toward it. As he drew closer and discerned its origin, he thought his eyes were deceiving him: it was a strange-looking house, almost like a cave, but with the interior of an ordinary home.

There was furniture, a kitchen, and even a fireplace. Curiosity flickered in his mind, but at that moment, he only wanted shelter. Without thinking too much about it, he entered; the door wasn't even locked. A wave of heat washed over his body. He sighed in relief and ventured further into the house until he reached the fireplace, in front of an old three-seater sofa. He sat on the floor, seeking to feel the warmth more closely.

He closed his eyes and sighed. Gradually, his body and mind relaxed until he fell asleep. A few seconds of silence passed, until footsteps began to echo through the house. They were coming from the stairs between the kitchen and the living room. Someone was coming down... someone big. Or something.

A massive figure appeared among the shadows. Its body was covered in messy gray fur, with pointed ears and large arms ending in claws. The creature sniffed the air. There was something different in its house. It followed that scent until it found the young man sleeping peacefully on the rug.
