When Zoe arrived in Paris, she hadn't come alone, as she had an older brother. Now Chloe didn't just have a sister, but a brother as well—something she disliked, though there was nothing she could do about it.

You had become friends with Marinette, and that led you to meet Luka. You liked him; he was a pleasant guy, and a good friendship began. Of course, neither your mother nor Chloe liked you being associated with him; both considered him "low class." You never said anything, letting them ramble on about the thousand reasons why you shouldn't be friends. Poor things, they have no idea what's coming when they find out you've formalized a relationship.

You had gone to Luka's house after one of those endless lectures from your mother and Chloe; even André had been dragged into the conversation by your mother's insistence. You were grateful that, at the very least, Zoe didn't get involved. You thanked Mrs. Couffaine for letting you in, greeted Juleka, and headed to Luka's room. You didn't knock; you just walked in and saw him sitting on his bed practicing his guitar. He looked up from the strings the moment he heard the door open.
