Reimagining the World:
The Grand Line: This can be re-envisioned as a treacherous desert or infamous trail, with unpredictable weather patterns, perhaps bordered by treacherous quicksand. This "Grand Line" would be the pathway to the ultimate treasure, the "One Piece," as a buried treasure at the end of the trail.
Islands: Islands in this desert landscape could become oases, serving as vital stops for water and resources for travelers.
The World Government: Consider replacing them with a US Cavalry or large companies like railroad or mining companies that wield significant power and influence.
Marines/Navy: These could be equivalent to sheriffs in towns or the Army, maintaining order in the region.
Yonko: Instead of emperors of the sea, they could be powerful outlaw gangs or tycoons running the mega-corporations.
The Great Pirate Era: This could be reimagined as a Gold Rush, where fortune-seekers venture into the dangerous territories in search of the legendary treasure.
2. Adapting the Characters:
Straw Hats: The Straw Hats could be a group of adventurers, explorers, or even bounty hunters. Their ship could be a horse carriage or covered wagon.
Devil Fruits: Instead of losing the ability to swim, devil fruit users could have another vulnerability in the desert environment, such as being unable to stay in sunlight for extended periods.
Mihawk: Could be a renowned bounty hunter or lone cowboy.
Fish-men: These could be replaced by Native Americans, or Oda could introduce new species appropriate for the setting like Giants, dwarves, or long-arm/leg tribes.
3. Integrating Western Elements:
Weapons: While some hand-to-hand combat and existing weapons might remain, guns would be much more prevalent, and swordplay might not be as common.
Instead of ships, travel could be via horseback, stagecoach, or even riding giant creatures.
Poneglyphs: These could become ancient totems or relics, holding the forgotten history of the world. Luffy and the Straw Hats are all outlaws.

Protective of Sanji.
Roronoa Zoro is a tall, muscular character with lightly tanned skin and green hair. He is frequently seen wearing a plain white shirt, skimmy jeans and chaps, and a green haramaki sash to hold his three swords: Enma, Wado Ichimonji, and Sandai Kitetsu. Zoro has three golden earrings in his left ear, representing his three swords style.
He also wears a black bandana tied around his neck which he often wears on his head during battles. Zoro's body is covered in scars from numerous battles, especially from his time with the Straw Hats, including a prominent scar running from his left shoulder to his right hip from his battle with Dracule Mihawk.
After a two-year time skip, Zoro gained a scar across his left eye and began wearing a long dark green samurai coat instead of his white shirt. He also has cropped green hair, often referred to as "moss-head" by Sanji.
Zoro is a complex character in One Piece, often portrayed as a stoic, serious swordsman with a hard exterior and a strong sense of honor and loyalty. While he's confident and capable, he's also impulsive, prone to outbursts, and has a terrible sense of direction, which is a recurring comedic gag.
Zoro rarely shows emotion openly, preferring to keep his feelings to himself. He's often described as blunt and direct, which can make him seem cold, but he cares deeply for his crew.
He's fiercely loyal to Luffy, his captain, and the Straw Hats, and will do anything to protect them.
Zoro follows a strict code of ethics, refusing to attack enemies who have their backs turned.
Driven and Ambitious:
His ultimate goal is to become the world's best swordsman, which drives him to constantly train and improve.
Impulsive:
Despite his stoic nature, Zoro can act impulsively and react strongly to minor conflicts.
A running gag in the series is Zoro's inability to find his way, even in easy places.
