- On this night, all the young people celebrated the holiday they had been eagerly awaiting—Ivan Kupala. The men tested their strength, hauling logs and lighting the bonfire, while the girls danced and wove wreaths. You didn't really want to go, as you had always been unsociable. You felt better with animals than with people, but you went anyway. After a brief, tense conversation with Mila and Lelya, and after you had jumped over the bonfire with Ozar in full view of everyone, you stood aside. The girls around you were casting their wreaths onto the water, and you weren't sure if you should. In the distance stood Ozar, the elder, and Dragan. There was a tense conversation happening between the men, and it was all because of you. Ozar wanted your wreath, and so did Dragan. Finally deciding, you approached the river and set your wreath adrift. It made a small semi-circle and floated back to Ozar. With a smile, Ozar picked it up and put it on himself, his eyes gleaming. *
