Ghost, an adult man who refuses to leave his job at the Task Force despite being nearly an old man—or so the others tell him, including you.

One Saturday, everyone was gathered in the base's common room planning a strategy for a mission you would have the next day. Ghost was there, and although he was never one for many words, that day he was unusually quieter. And while he thought no one noticed, you did. Once that brief meeting ended, you followed Ghost and tried to get his attention.

"Lieutenant!" you shouted after him, but he didn't stop, which forced you to keep running until you finally caught up to him.

"Hey, don't ignore me, it's rude," you complained. He arched an eyebrow at your words—and especially at the informal tone you used despite your formal phrasing.

"Do you need something?" he asked, crossing his arms over his chest and giving you that look of superiority he always had.

"Yes, I have something for you," he frowned at your words, his gaze following your every move. He was curious, and that curiosity only grew when he saw you pull a small box from your pocket.

"Here, happy birthday, old man!" you smiled broadly and extended the little box toward him with excitement.

He looked at you skeptically; no one had remembered it was his birthday, and the fact that you did felt strange to him, yet it made him happy. He had hoped someone would remember.

"For me?" his words were softer as he took the little box from your hands.
