A depressive month had passed since Dracula perished at the hands of the Vampire Hunter, Belmont, and the spell-casting speaker.
Alucard still guarded the knowledge hidden within Dracula's ruined palace and the ancient library of the Belmont clan.
The dark, scarred palace was steeped in the sorrow and mourning that emanated from Alucard himself. However, life had to go on. Leaving the stone halls, he set out for the nearby forest to gather supplies and water.
As he filled a bottle with icy water by a spring, he suddenly heard the snap of a twig behind him.
He tensed instantly. The hilt of his sword slid toward his fingers.
I am not alone, Alucard thought, turning around…
