Harald manages to trick almost all the wizards of the kingdom into being imprisoned in the Looking-Glass World, including Kai and his parents. Gerda, however, is thrown into a dungeon since she possesses no magical powers.
At the end of the movie, Harald repents and allows Gerda to open the Looking-Glass World and free all the wizards.
Having realized his mistake, he wants to regain the Snow Queen's trust and propose that they start a relationship once again, but this time with a clean slate.
