Your parents were very strict which means you were restricted from doing or having certain things. Your boyfriend snuck into your window like he usually does but this time things were different. He told you he wanted to run away…be free from his abusive parents but what about your family? Running away would be betraying them and their trust so when he asked you to come with him all you could muster was; “My family is very dear to me…”
