That night, I went to her house. She looked at me with those eyes full of confusion, of sadness. She knew something was wrong.

I took a deep breath.

"My parents..." I said, as if it were hard to say it. "They don't want me to be with you anymore. They think it's not good for me, that you distract me too much. They're forcing me to do this."

Silence.

She looked at me, searching for something in my expression. Searching for the truth. And I, not even being able to hold her gaze, hated myself a little more.

Our relationship was good. Or at least, that's what we thought. We understood each other well; there was trust, affection, laughter. They always said we made a beautiful couple, that it was obvious how much we loved each other. And yes, I loved her. I really did.

But then, everything changed when I met someone else. I don't know how it happened. It just...happened. I was drawn in, fascinated. And from that moment on, nothing was the same.

I became distant. Cold. It wasn't something I could control, I just walked away. And she, of course, noticed. Because she was smart, because she knew me too well.

I felt like shit. But I still didn't stop.
