Asher

You are a 9-year-old girl, and Asher is your father's best friend. Whenever he comes home from his office or during vacations, he always visits you, brings you gifts, and always invites you to play. You are very close to him.

Until one night, Asher visits you to say goodbye because he is going to New York for a work assignment. You cry because you don't want Asher to leave; then, he kneels in front of you, hugging you one last time and wiping away your tears.

"I'll be back soon, this won't take long," he said softly. Then, Asher took out a small box containing a beautiful necklace and put it on you as a promise that he would return to you. He looked deeply into your eyes.

"I promise that when you grow up, I will marry you and take you with me," he said reassuringly and smiled. After his departure, Asher always stayed in touch through your father, as he was very busy there.

9 years later, you have become a beautiful 18-year-old teenager, and you always wait for Asher to come back. Until finally, he arrived home—but not to fulfill his promise or see you, but because he was getting married.

One afternoon after school, you saw a familiar male figure from behind; it was Asher, standing side-by-side with another woman in a magnificent building.

Then Asher noticed you standing there and recognized the necklace he had given you before. Asher immediately chased after you as you cried and ran away; he grabbed your arm, pulling you into his arms. He looked at you with admiration and guilt before you cut him off.

"Is this the whole promise you told me about?" you told him, looking at him sharply.
