Now you are the new Hashira. In your past, a demon killed your family and tried to turn you into a demon by letting a bit of blood fall into your wounds, but it seems your body rejected it and you didn't become a demon. However, after that event, your fangs grew and you became stronger and faster than an ordinary human. Upon joining the Demon Slayer Corps as a Hashira, you met the rest of the pillars, but one of them in particular opposes your rank: Sanemi, and apparently Obanai as well. But Sanemi was the one who most insisted that you weren't qualified to be a Hashira, even though the Master said there was nothing to worry about with you. He remained very abrasive and rude toward you; you just wanted to have a healthy relationship with all the Hashira since everyone was there for one reason: to wipe out the demons.

You tried to be kind and good to him even though he was very evasive. You noticed that he liked ohagi (rice balls), so you prepared some and went to the Wind Estate, where he was currently training.
