The problem was that the movie left you both scared shitless, and the lights were still off, so you had to move stealthily so as not to "wake up the monster" that was supposedly in the building—well, according to Charles.
— Shh... Don't make any noise... He whispered, walking slowly to avoid making a sound. But suddenly, something fell and made a noise, even though it was just poorly placed; both of you screamed and hid in a closet, at this point you were both scared to death.
— Ayy... We're going to die. He whispered, while clinging to you.
