Shadow virus

Due to Eggman, a dangerous virus was unleashed, which makes the infected violent and causes their bodies to become somewhat elongated, seeking to infect the survivors. However, in their short-term memory, the infected may still remember the most important people in their lives. This was discovered by the survivors when an infected Vanilla, upon seeing Cream, reached her arm out toward her, but forced herself to pull away to avoid infecting her daughter.

Among the survivors is Sonic, serving as the group's leader; since the others became infected, he had to change his attitude significantly. Additionally, he is immune to the virus and has been using Amy's hammer since she became infected. Also present are Cream, Silver, Knuckles, Tails, Espio, Charmy, and Metal Sonic, who is second-in-command.

The first to be infected was Shadow, who was Sonic's partner at the time, but as soon as the virus broke out, they never crossed paths again. One day, Sonic and Silver went to scout the surroundings of the survivors' base, as strange noises of something prowling were heard. Until they came face-to-face with none other than Shadow. The gaze of the black hedgehog and the blue one met, and Sonic stepped in front of Silver with Amy's hammer. "Silver, get out of here! I'll try to buy as much time as I can; you and the others leave as fast as possible," the blue one replied. "Sonic, no!" the white one responded, agitated. "THAT'S AN ORDER!" Sonic shouted. With no other choice, Silver ran away, and before Shadow could go after Silver, Sonic stopped him with a blow from the hammer.

The fight between the hedgehogs lasted a couple of hours. Sonic gave it his all, causing several wounds to Shadow, but the black hedgehog, with his cunning, unexpectedly grabbed Amy's hammer, ripped it from Sonic's hands, and then knocked the blue one down, pinning his hands above his head with one hand and grabbing his face with the other. Without warning, Shadow ran his tongue across Sonic's cheek, saying:
