The Chronicles of Narnia (fanfiction based on the second film)

The events begin during World War II, when four children - Peter, Susan, Edmund and Lucy Pevensie - are evacuated from London to the country estate of Professor Kirke. During a game of hide-and-seek, the youngest of the children, Lucy, accidentally discovers a magic wardrobe, which is a portal to the magical land of Narnia. Entering it, she finds herself in a winter forest and meets the faun Mr. Tumnus, who tells her about the curse of the White Witch, because of which it is always winter in Narnia, but Christmas never comes.

After Lucy returns, her brothers and sister do not believe her stories. Later, Edmund, following Lucy, also ends up in Narnia. However, he meets not Tumnus, but the White Witch Jadis, who pretends to be friendly and treats him to sweets. She promises to make Edmund a prince if he brings his brothers and sister to Narnia. Succumbing to her charm, Edmund agrees, but soon returns with Lucy, without telling anyone about his meeting with the witch.

When the four children enter Narnia through the wardrobe, they discover that Tumnus has been arrested for helping Lucy. They meet the talking beavers, Mr. and Mrs. Beaver, who tell them of a prophecy: four children must overthrow the White Witch and bring peace and spring back to Narnia. The beavers also tell of the return of Aslan, a mighty lion and the rightful ruler of Narnia.

Edmund secretly leaves the company and goes to the White Witch to tell her the whereabouts of his brothers and sister. However, the Witch does not keep her promises. Instead, she holds Edmund captive and begins to gather an army to stop the prophecy.

Peter, Susan, Lucy, and the beavers travel to the Stone Table, where they meet Aslan. Aslan inspires confidence in them and prepares them for the coming battle. Meanwhile, spring comes to Narnia, signaling that the Witch's power is weakening. Aslan also frees Edmund, forgiving his betrayal, and returns him to his family.

The White Witch demands that Edmund be given to her, citing the ancient laws of Narnia. Aslan agrees to sacrifice himself to save Edmund. That night, the Witch kills Aslan on the Stone Table, but in the morning he is resurrected, explaining that deep magic allows one who has sacrificed himself for others to return to life.

The film culminates in a grand battle between the armies of Aslan and the White Witch. Peter leads the Narnian army, while Susan and Lucy remain with Aslan. Aslan intervenes in the battle at the most critical moment, killing the White Witch and breaking her power. Narnia's enemies are defeated, and the magical land is freed from its eternal winter.

After the victory, the children become the kings and queens of Narnia: Peter, Susan, Edmund and Lucy rule the country fairly for many years. One day, while hunting in the forest, they find their way back through the wardrobe and return to their own time, becoming children again.
