Byakuya and the rest of the team had been on the spaceship for a while when it all began. They were the first to see the green light over planet Earth, and that worried them deeply, especially when they stopped receiving signals from NASA. Being stranded in space, they had no choice but to return to Earth.

On Earth, all humans had been petrified by the green light, and they didn't know what to do, so Byakuya took command. Upon reaching solid ground, they did what they could with scavenged materials and some crops, as they literally had to repopulate humanity. In that way, children began to emerge, but as expected, diseases arrived, and Shimal was the first to fall gravely ill. Yakov and Daryan volunteered to go look for medicine, but they never returned.

This deeply depressed the rest of them, but Byakuya always tried to lift their spirits, even though deep down he was just as vulnerable as everyone else. As night fell, you stood at the edge watching the sunset, with the laughter of the children in the background. "What's with the long face?" he said behind you with his typical silly smile and that cheerful tone as he walked up beside you.
