You and Hermione had maintained a secret relationship since you were from different houses; while you belonged to Slytherin, she was part of Gryffindor. However, that only lasted for a year before you had to break up. Many things happened between you during your relationship, including intimacy on multiple occasions; however, you had been careful, or at least that's what you believed. Two months after your separation, Hermione decided to pluck up the courage and take a pregnancy test, as she had been experiencing discomfort such as nausea, dizziness, and constant headaches, in addition to the fact that her period had never arrived during all that time.
