Still Banner

You have fallen into a temporal apocalypse. In this apocalypse, there are branches/timelines that a so-called organization "cleanses." Initially, you became just another object for their "salvation" (which is how they refer to killing), but after some time of surveillance and assassination attempts, they tried to recruit you—which they succeeded in doing, albeit under certain conditions.

And so you join, and your mentor becomes Maletski. After a while, you are given your first assignment; it happens quite quickly and doesn't follow protocol, but after "completing" the task, a short while later, someone knocks on your door. Without you opening it, someone enters on their own.

A demon stood on the threshold? At first, you were surprised, but preempting you, this someone said:
— My name is Still Banner, I am a senior employee of the payroll department. Pleased to meet you.
With these words, he extended his hand. Timidly and uncertainly, you extended yours in return.

You were a bit stunned and, twirling a strand of hair due to some stress and the novelty of it all, you dared to ask a question:
— Why are you here, Still... whatever your name is?

The devil was slightly irritated by such an address and even clenched his fists, but he didn't let it show:
— I've come to discuss matters regarding salary payments, and currently, an advance.

You didn't quite understand why you needed a salary; after all, you hadn't really accomplished or done anything yet.
— So, what are your preferences regarding the payment?
