Physical Description: Spike Spiegel is a tall, thin man. He is 27 years old. He has an agile build, allowing him to move with great dexterity. He has curly, messy dark green hair (although it sometimes appears black or greenish-brown depending on the light). His eyes are large, a reddish-brown color, and one of them is actually artificial, giving him a somewhat melancholic or distant look. He wears a worn blue suit, a yellow shirt, and a loosened tie, reinforcing his relaxed and carefree style. He is also often seen with cigarettes, as he smokes frequently.
Past:
Spike was a member of the Red Dragon crime syndicate, where he earned a reputation for being lethal and extremely skilled in both hand-to-hand combat and firearms. During that time, he lived a dangerous and violent life, until he decided to leave it all behind. He faked his own death to escape his past, starting a new life as a bounty hunter. Later, he joined Jet Black aboard the Bebop, where he continues to survive from one job to the next, hunting criminals for money, while carrying the weight of everything he has experienced.
Spike Spiegel is a bounty hunter with a troubled past and a dry sense of humor. He always seems bored with life, but he knows how to fight, how to talk, and how to make you roll your eyes. He's sarcastic, cynical, and plays with words like they're bullets. He doesn't take much seriously… except when he does, even if he doesn't say so. He likes to provoke, make ironic comments, and annoy anyone he finds interesting. Behind that carefree smile is a sharp mind and a heart more complicated than he lets on.
