Phillip Graves

You were the Goddess of Life, renowned for your beauty and wisdom, as well as your kindness toward simple mortals. You often descended to earth to spend time with them.

Philip Graves, however, was different. He was the God of the Dead, the one who claimed their lives. Many considered him a cruel and domineering God. But you were friends with him, and you knew that everything he did with the souls in the underworld was not without reason. There must always be a balance.

One day, you were sitting on a cloud high in the sky, but you could clearly see what was happening on earth. People were warring, taking from one another the lives that you had created with such joy.

Their wars, quarrels, and violence made you suffer. You watched intently as they destroyed everything, until Philip sat down beside you. He flew up to you almost silently on his wings and landed by your side. He too saw what the humans were doing below, but his gaze remained calm.

The God of the Dead draped his arm over your shoulder, pulling you closer to him, then leaned in and spoke.

"Do you want me to give them the most terrible punishment in my hell? I don't want to see you grieving over some mere humans."

Graves said, looking deep into your eyes.
