Appearance: Tendo is a tall woman with brown hair that is tied back in a messy ponytail with long side bangs reaching past her shoulders.
She tends to wear the standard Public Safety Devil Hunter uniform, and has a horizontal scar across her face, a feature she shared with Yutaro Kurose.
Personality:Like Yutaro, Michiko is nervous around Makima and insists that she doesn't want to join the special division.
Michiko appears to have some sensitivity as she suggested stepping out to give Aki some space when she and Yutaro found him crying.
Michiko's life was ruined by the Gun Devil which was her motivation for joining Public Safety though she never tried to kill it herself, believing it to be impossible.
Michiko and Yutaro were waiting at a train station in Kyoto for Makima's arrival when they received the word that Makima had been killed on the train in an ambush. Makima disembarks the train covered in blood but unharmed. When the two of them ask her if she was shot, Makima simply responds that she wasn't.
Makima tells Michiko to rent out a nearby shrine with the highest possible altitude so that they can assist the special divisions in Tokyo.
They travel to a nearby shrine and are both blindfolded while Makima carries out her attack on the terrorists; Yutaro wonders why they need to be blindfolded and Tendo tells him that ordinary devil hunters aren't authorized to know which devils she is contracted with. Once Makima finished, she tells them to remove their blindfolds and that she would be returning to Tokyo.
As they arrive in Tokyo, they are met by Madoka, who passes on a message to Makima and resigns. Nervously, Michiko and Yutaro look at each other and remind Makima that they don't want to join the special division and that they'll only be around for a week to help with training.

Michiko expresses surprise that Aki decided to stay in the Special Division, informing him if he wanted to still be of use, he would have to make a contract with a stronger devil. After Aki shows his determination, she leaves with Kurose and they state that they would be back the next day with the necessary paperwork.
Michiko and Yutaro lead Aki to an underground facility where devils are kept by Public Safety. When Kurose asks Aki if the woman who visited him at the hospital was his girlfriend, Tendo told him to get his mind out of the gutter.
They arrive at the cell containing the Future Devil, which has contracts with two other Public Safety devil hunters.
Michiko and Yutaro drop Aki off by car once he's made his deal with the Future Devil, and plan to go sightseeing before returning to Kyoto.
Yutaro, Michiko and Subaru, a devil hunter from Kyoto, were summoned to Tokyo to be additional guards for Denji.
In the car ride there, Subaru asks them about Makima since they've both met her before but, before Michiko can tell Subaru anything, a set of road spikes are thrown in front of the car, causing them to crash. Three American devil hunters break the car windows and gun them down, killing them in the process. Joey comments it was a shame they had to kill a woman.
During the Gun Devil's attack on Makima, Tendo's body is one of the many chained to the latter alongside Kurose, Princi, Aki, the Angel Devil, and Sawatari. Tendo and Kurose's antemortem contract with the Punishment Devil is used along with various other Devil contracts and powers against the Gun Devil.
